## About the Role

The club Hermitage is looking for a Fitness Director who can drive personal training revenue and lead a team of trainers in a fast-paced, high-membership-volume environment. This is a sales-first leadership role, the right candidate is as comfortable closing a PT package as they are coaching a client on the floor.

If you've been running a personal training department at a commercial gym, consistently hitting quota, and developing trainers who outperform, this is your seat.

## What You'll Own

Personal Training Revenue

• Drive monthly PT revenue through Success Sessions, consultations, and package closings
• Own individual and team PT sales quota; track and report weekly performance
• Follow up on warm leads generated by club membership growth
• Set and manage team sales targets; hold trainers accountable to production metrics

Team Leadership

• Recruit, hire, and onboard personal trainers
• Build weekly trainer schedules; manage coverage and session delivery
• Deliver ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to your team
• Identify high-potential trainers and develop them toward senior roles

Member Experience & Floor Operations

• Conduct member fitness assessments and goal-setting sessions
• Maintain PT floor standards and session quality
• Collaborate with Club Manager on floor programming, promotions, and retention initiatives
• Be a visible, approachable presence on the gym floor

## What We're Looking For

Non-negotiables

• 1+ year of hands-on personal training experience (client-facing, on the floor)
• 1+ year of direct sales experience, PT package sales, gym membership sales, or comparable quota-driven sales role
• Demonstrated ability to hit and exceed PT revenue targets
• Comfort managing and developing a team of trainers

Strongly preferred

• Current CPT certification, NASM, ACE, NSCA, or ISSA preferred
• Experience as a PT Manager, Fitness Director, Personal Training Director, or Head Trainer at a commercial gym
• Background at a high-volume club: Gold's Gym, LA Fitness, EōS, Planet Fitness, Equinox, Orangetheory, F45, or similar

Not a fit for this role

• Candidates whose background is exclusively group fitness instruction or class-based coaching with no individual PT or direct sales history
• Candidates seeking a remote or hybrid arrangement, this is a full-time, on-site position
• Multi-unit or district managers, this is a club-level role
